BTP advises public on prohibition of Starlink antennas usage

Bureau Telecommunications and Post Sint Maarten (BTP) is advising all resellers that the sale and distribution of Starlink antennas on the Dutch side of Sint Maarten is strictly prohibited. At present, Starlink, operated by SpaceX, is not authorized to provide telecommunication services through their antennas on the Dutch side of Sint Maarten. Therefore, any transmission of Starlink telecommunication services is unlawful.

BTP host MPC students for progress meeting on Cyber Security

Philipsburg – Mrs. Judianne Labega-Hoeve, the Interim Director of Bureau Telecommunications and Post, recently hosted a progress meeting with the VWO 6 ICT class of Milton Peters College. The students, under the guidance of their ICT teacher Mr. Marcus Nicolaas, conducted a comprehensive survey on Cyber Security. Now, they are translating these findings into tailored video messages and advertisements for an island-wide cyber security campaign.
